ゴルフ競技の種類について

最近、ゴルフに関するルールを通常のプライベートでラウンドする場合にはあまり関係のないような少し細かい点で書いていました。

そこで、今回は競技という事でゴルフ競技の種類にはどのようなものがあるのかを書いてみようと思います。

競技方法には色々な種類があります。

まず、ゴルフの競技種類の中で一番多い方法だといわれているストロークプレーと呼ばれる方法は、打った打数のトータルで勝敗を競うという方法で、メダルプレーという言い方もされているのです。

そして、マッチプレーと呼ばれる方法があります。

これは二人もしくは、二組のチームがホール毎に勝敗をつけるというものです。

そして、それらに追加する形となりますがサドンデスと呼ばれるものがあります。

これはストロークプレーやマッチプレーなどをしていて、規定のホールをまわっても、まだ勝敗が決まらないときにはサドンデスという方法で勝敗を決めるというものです。

サッカーなどでもありましたよね(^^♪

また、少し変則的であまり競技として行われるということは少ないのですが、ステーブルフォードと呼ばれる打数で競うというものではなくて、それぞれのホールで失う点数の合計で競うという方法もあります。

また、スキンズマッチといって、四人の選手がスポンサーが提供している賞金をかけてテレビなどの番組で行われる競技方法などもあります。

このようにゴルフ競技の種類は他にも沢山のあるようです(^^♪

Great points…I would note that as someone who really doesn’t comment to blogs much (in fact, this may be my first post), I don’t think the term “lurker” is very becoming to a non-posting reader. It’s not your fault at all, but perhaps the blogosphere could come up with a better, non-creepy name for the 90% of us that enjoy just reading the content .
