最近、初心者を対象にゴルフに関する事を色々と私独断と偏見で書いておりますが、今回はゴルフクラブの中でも特別な「パター」について書いてみようと思います。

ゴルフクラブのパターは、ブレード、ピンタイプなど色々な種類に分けることが出来ます。

現在では一番よく使われているのはピンタイプのパターと、マレットタイプのパターが良く使われているといわれています。

素材も色々で、金属でできているパターもあればプラスティックでできているパターもあります。

またデザインも色々ありますから、ゴルフクラブの中でも一番プレイヤーの個性が発揮できるクラブではないでしょうか？

パターでステンレススチールのヘッドでできているものは柔らかい感触の打ち心地を出すことが出来ないので、パターは昔から銅やアルミ、軟鉄などで作られてきたんだそうです。

ゴルフクラブの中でも最も柔らかいタッチを必要とされるクラブなので、打感は重要視されているようです。

しかし最近では、エラストマーと呼ばれるプラスティックとゴムの間の特徴のある材料がゴルフクラブのフェースやフェースの後ろに入れるクッションとして使われるようになってきました。

ヒールトトーに重量を分けて作ったヘッドのパターをヒールトーデザインのパターといっているのですがクラブのスィートエリアを大きくするという効果があります。

私もパターは何回か変えましたが、「流行のもの」＝「自分に合うもの」では無いので、選ばれるときも試打は重要です。
